Budget Project
Create a budget with a list of expenses for a school, shop, or other organisation
you work for, or your personal or family budget and expenditures.
- Choose a fixed time period for the budget (a week, a month or a year).
- For each item, list the quantity, budgeted value and actual expenditure.
- Group related items into categories and format the items neatly into tables.
- Create formulas to automatically calculate sums for each category and a
total sum.
- Compare the estimated or budgeted totals with the actual expenditures to
calculate amount over or under budget.
- Create two or more graphs and/or charts on separate worksheets to summarize
the data, and explain the results of each in a paragraph of text.
- If possible, subdivide the time period and create summaries for each sub-period
(e.g. divide a year into four quarters).
