Lab 11: Web Accounts and Uploading

Setup

1. Review Lecture 11b.
2. Log on to a computer with an Internet connection.
3. Go to a free website hosting service such as www.tripod.lycos.com or www.geocities.com.
4. Follow the instructions for creating your own site.
   1. For privacy, include as little of your personal information as possible.
   2. To avoid spam, uncheck any options to send you information or special offers.
5. Create a simple home page using Mozilla Composer or the tools of the web host.
6. Upload your home page using FTP or the uploading features of the web host.
7. Note that you can upload your final project to replace this test page.

Submit the Assignment

1. Send an e-mail message to gvogl@umu.ac.ug with subject line web lab 11 indicating the URL of your site.
